the pomegranate wilds

I liken the wilderness to a pomegranate when broken open—jewels that spill in all directions, each one brilliant in design.

I have always been interested in nature, but until recently, my interest was more contained—the pomegranate had not yet been broken open, and the discovery had not been wholly made.

The Pomegranate Wilds is everything—all the jewels; the birds, the animals, nature itself. Occasionally, it crosses over into my home.

These are my wilds. Sometimes they are birds or animals that I observe as I dabble on the fringes. Other times, they will be orphaned souls or injured critters that come into my care until they are ready to return to the wild.

Either way, they are all jewels.
